THE DESTINATION BAR FOR LOCALS
BOSTON’S FAVORITE BAR
The Langham, Boston introduces The Fed, a whimsical cocktail pub serving hand-crafted signature cocktails, perfect pints and elevated pub fare. With dark timber floors overlayed with hand-tufted rugs, and shelves brimming with local history and banking books, The Fed is reminiscent of a 1920s era private cocktail lounge, harkening back to the time period of the iconic building’s inception as the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The Fed shares design parallels to it’s sister bar, The Wigmore at our flagship property, The Langham, London.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
ART
The Fed is home to around 75 pieces of carefully curated artwork, including 28 specially commissioned pieces, all sourced from The Copley Society, the oldest artistic non-profit association in the U.S. The collection evokes a feeling of warm embrace to patrons and pays homage to the building’s banking history and local heritage.
COCKTAILS
Curated by Bar Manager, Paige McGroarty, the cocktail menu at The Fed offers hand-crafted seasonal creations with equally creative names. From inventive combinations and house-made cordials, cellos and syrups to aesthetically pleasing presentations, you won’t be disappointed.
AWARDS AND PRESS
“The ground-floor whiskey bar and a cavernous Italian restaurant in the former bank’s grand hall, both located off picturesque Post Office Square, have had Bostonians eager to get back in the building for cocktails or a brunch reservation since the property closed in 2019 for a two-year facelift.”
